6 Days left until Iowa Caucus! Despite the haters, Bernie Surges in the Polls...

With only 6 days left to the Iowa Caucuses, Bernie Sanders’ campaign has gained official front runner status in Iowan polls. Despite last weeks smears from Hilary Clinton claiming that Senator Sanders is a " career politician" and that "nobody likes him". HRC's gas lighting and hypocrisy is almost laughable. The Sanders Campaign is running on an anti corporate greed platform that has policies centered around the Green New Deal & Medicare for All. And in a way Sanders is an existential threat to the establishment Democratic party of which Hilary hails. Establishment Dem's like Hilary dangle the threat of not supporting a Sanders Presidential bid if he were to win the nomination due to their own self interest. On Capitol Hill Senator Sanders may not have many politicians who like him,but its obvious that he is not in Washington to make friends. He is in Washington to deliver on an agenda for the American People. New polls coming out this weekend tell a very different story of Bernie's popularity when it comes to the voters. The Hill's reporting indicates that:
"Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has opened up a 7-point lead in Iowa, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll released Saturday, a strong showing in a volatile primary battle just over a week away from the state’s caucuses."Over the weekend Bernie Sanders 2020 Campaign held several events in Iowa. Where he called into his own campaign rally in Iowa City on Friday night, after the Senate's impeachment trial schedule interfered with his ability to be there in person. Despite the time constraints, Sanders' call in was,un-like Trump, the true definition of a "perfect call". He gave a run down on his policies and why voters should elect him. Stating :
"We are going to win because we are developing an unprecedented multi generational, multiracial, working-class movement which is prepared to take on the corporate elite and the entire one percent and put together an administration that stands for justice," Sanders, an independent U.S. senator from Vermont, said. "Economic justice, social justice, racial justice and environmental justice."On Friday's rally, power house surrogates like Stacey Walker,Phil Agnew, AOC & Michael Moore came on Bernie's behalf to rally the Iowan people. And what a rally it was. Phil Agnew ushered in a sense of community & offered listeners a friendly exercise in holding hands. Followed by a prayer, asking a series of questions and advising everyone to squeeze a hand if you had been through issues of pain, loss, abuse and several common despairs we endure as humans. It created a sense of unity in the room and was an incredible exercise on humility.
Michael Moore gave an in your face context on Bernie’s civil rights record & hammered home the importance of voting for someone who won’t become the problem in Washington. The Notorious AOC , represented her district in Bronx,NY well over the weekend. Talking & organizing Iowans to get involved & find their role in the “Not me.Us” movement. Offering advice on how to assist a neighbor or give a friend a ride to the polls if you can’t Caucus. By Saturday Bernie was able to fly to Iowa from Washington and was able to break from the Impeachment Trial. After surging in the polls, & with all of the support from his staff and surrogates Senator Sanders went on to rally all across the state of Iowa. Joe Biden's Iowa rally's over the weekend weren't even 1/10th the number of Sanders'. With the Iowa Caucus only days away, it seems as though outsider Bernie Sanders has a shot at taking Iowa and a shot at taking the nomination. Its off to the races & as Senator William Learned Marcy once said : "To the victor belong the spoils."
