2020 Road to Equity Tour : Black Millennial Political Convention

  The 2020 Road to Equity Tour stopped off in Memphis,TN, home of the Blues, to grace local millennial community leaders, activists, HBCU students as well as running officials with some knowledge and development opportunities on the Le Moyne Owen College Campus.This event will include plenaries centered on needs and wants of the Black community in Memphis. It will also feature local, statewide and national leading Millennial voices such as Tami Sawyer, Shelby County Commissioner; LaTricea Adams, President, Black Millennials for Flint; Raumesh Akbari, Senator, District 9; London Lamar, Tennessee House of Representatives, 91st District; Dr. Wes Bellamy, former Vice Mayor and current Councilman of Charlottesville, Virginia and many others. 

THE PANELS: (Session II & III)
The atmosphere was full of local black mayors,politicians,entrepreneurs and advocates who flew in from all around the country to sew seeds on the Le-Moyne Owen College campus. As stated on the BMC website:
The Black Millennial Convention is embarking upon a national tour “BMC 2020 Road to Equity” to: 
  • Raise public awareness and involvement with promoting leadership development opportunities for Black Millennials at the regional, statewide and national levels
  • Expand community engagement through policy advocacy on issues that impact the Black community across the diaspora
  • Increase Black Millennial voter engagement in the 2020 elections in order to advance racial equity

  With only 6 days left to the Iowa Caucuses, Bernie Sanders’ campaign has gained official front runner status in Iowan polls. Despite last weeks smears from Hilary Clinton claiming that Senator Sanders is a " career politician" and that "nobody likes him". HRC's gas lighting and hypocrisy is almost laughable.
